Ferrari Driver Kimi Raikkonen has rubbished rumours in the media that he will be “lazy” and will not be making any technical input for the development of the car.

Kimi’s spokesman highlighted that Kimi has already made several interesting suggestions to the Maranello squad as to ways to help improve the performance of the yet to be named vehicle.

One such suggestion from the Finnish driver, was to help improve the starts of the Ferrari at Grand Prix, as it is widely thought that the Renault Team have superior starting speeds.

A mysterious insider at the team (are there any other types of insider at Ferrari?) let slip Kimi had suggested using his own brand of rocket fuel (also known as Finlandia Vodka) instead of regular fuel as he personally found it really got him going and might do the same for the car.

Not wanting to discourage ideas from their new star, the Ferrari testing team gave his suggestion a run at Fiorano prior to Christmas with Luca Badoer running the car. However, the idea was soon binned by FIAT boss Luca di Montezemolo after he found the mechanics doing the conga round the garage, speaking in silly voices, throwing spanners about and laughing hysterically after inhaling the fumes.

Back to the drawing board then.
